“I have a health problem and want to find out if Chiropractic can help”
Pain is the first thing most people think of when it comes to Chiropractic, but we've helped lots of folks of all ages with challenges that have nothing to do with pain.
Pain is often a sign of a problem and not the problem itself.
So instead, we use our simple 3 step process to answer these questions
1. What's the problem?
2. Is Chiropractic the right solution?
3. Is Connection the best office for you?
FAQ
How does Chiropractic work?
Your brain controls, regulates, and coordinates everything in your body constantly. Health problems can develop when your brain and body can’t communicate effectively. Chiropractic works by making sure your brain and body can “talk” to each other efficiently and effectively with as little extra resistance as possible. Loss of the normal, healthy motion and alignment of the integrated parts of your spine causes unnecessary resistance and stress and that extra stress always interferes with normal communication.
What does a Chiropractor do?
Chiropractors find and correct the imbalances that lead to loss of normal, healthy spinal motion and alignment. We use gentle and safe adjustments to restore normal motion and alignment.
Who can benefit from Chiropractic care?
The short answer is EVERYONE. The stresses of everyday life can lead to the imbalances we’ve been talking about. Those imbalances can eventually lead to many of the common health problems that many people suffer from. If you are experiencing your life in an unbalanced state everything becomes harder, takes more energy, and steals from your enjoyment of life. If you’re dealing with a health challenge you don’t want, please schedule a consultation to find out if we can help.
Are Chiropractic adjustments safe?
Yes! A study conducted by the government of New Zealand found that adjustments are “remarkably safe”, approximately 100 times safer than taking an over-the-counter pain reliever. To rule out any type of complication, a thorough history and exam are performed and techniques are custom tailored for each individual.
What types of care do Chiropractors offer?
Chiropractors are trained to offer a variety of different types of care depending on the individual needs of each patient. At Connection Chiropractic we find that the best results come from adjustments (either by hand or with a specialized adjusting instrument) and simple strategies for supporting the adjustment.
How long until I feel better?
Most patients will feel better within the first few days to several weeks. Everyone will respond at different rates to their care depending on different factors unique to that person. Chronic and recurrent injuries often take longer to heal. Before you commit to any care we will evaluate your specific case and lay out a custom care plan for you to get the best results in the shortest time.
How long will I need Chiropractic care?
How long you receive care depends on your individual health goals. Some people merely want pain relief, while others are looking to discover new levels of health. After the initial stage of care has concluded successfully, most of our patients opt to continue their care on a wellness plan to prevent these issues from ever interrupting their lives again.
Do Chiropractors care for children, babies, and pregnant women?
Yes, chiropractors can care for any age individual, from newborn’s to senior citizens. At Connection Chiropractic we have completed additional training for pediatric and prenatal care through Life University in Atlanta GA and we regularly train with pediatric and prenatal focused Chiropractors all over the globe to bring you the most advanced methods for caring for your precious little ones. Every adjustment is customized to be as gentle as possible, often looking like holding gentle pressure over an area rather than an abrupt or aggressive adjustment you may be more used to seeing with an adult.
What is a Chiropractic adjustment?
An adjustment is when the chiropractor gently and safely adds motion back to a “stuck” area of your spine. When areas that should move are stuck, it can and does create lots of problems. This could be from the top of the neck to the very low back or your hips. Chiropractors also adjust other joints like ankles, knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and jaw when necessary.
Do I need a referral?
No, you do not need a referral from anyone to get Chiropractic care. In some cases, your insurance company may want you to get a referral from a medical doctor to be eligible for reimbursement.
Will I get adjusted on my first visit?
Yes, in most cases our chiropractors will adjust the patient on the first visit to help you start getting the results you’re looking for as fast as possible.
What's included in a Chiropractic care plan?
Your chiropractor will give you a game plan and a time line to reach your goals. This will include what type of care you will be getting and how often you need to get that care to have the fastest results. In most cases you will also get some at home work to do like icing and exercises.
Can you directly bill my insurance?
No, at Connection Chiropractic we don’t participate with any 3rd party payers or insurance companies. We can however provide you with a detailed receipt that many of our clients submit to their insurance companies and get reimbursed directly.
Do Chiropractors only adjust backs?
No, chiropractors can adjust many different joints that affect almost all parts of the body. From feet and ankles to jaw and sinuses, chiropractors provide care for far more than just the spine.
